This Privacy Policy explains how The Art Effects ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your information when you use our website, our trade portal, or place an order with us.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

• Contact & business details — your name, firm name, phone number, email address, GST number, and billing and delivery addresses.
• Order details — the materials, dimensions, cut types, project notes and any reference images or design files you upload.
• Payment information — payments are processed by our payment gateway (Razorpay). Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's secure systems; we do not collect or store your full card or bank details on our servers.
• Account & usage data — login credentials for the trade portal and a session cookie that keeps you signed in.

3. How we use your information

• To prepare quotes and process, produce and deliver your orders.
• To arrange delivery and coordinate with our logistics partners.
• To communicate with you about your orders, drawings, quotes and support requests.
• To issue invoices and comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
• To protect against fraud and keep our services secure.

4. Payments

Online payments are handled by Razorpay Software Private Limited, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. When you pay, your payment details are submitted directly to Razorpay. We receive only confirmation of payment and a transaction reference — never your full card or bank credentials.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business:

• With our delivery and logistics partners, to deliver your order.
• With our payment gateway (Razorpay), to process payments.
• With tax authorities, auditors or law-enforcement where required by law.

6. Cookies

Our trade portal uses a single essential session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Account activity monitoring (trade portal)

For approved trade partners, we maintain activity logs that include:

• Login times, IP addresses, and device information;
• Quote configurations and PDF downloads;
• Cart additions, orders placed, and orders completed.

This information is used for:

• Operating the portal (for example, showing you your own order history);
• Detecting unusual patterns that may indicate account misuse;
• Improving our service based on aggregated usage patterns.

Accounts may be flagged for human review based on these usage patterns. We do not sell or share this data with third parties. We retain it for as long as your account is active, and for up to 24 months after account closure for legitimate accounting and audit purposes.

You may request a copy of the activity data we hold about you, or request closure of your account, by emailing info@thearteffects.in.

8. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. Passwords are stored in hashed form and payment data is handled by our PCI-DSS compliant gateway. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.

9. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to fulfil orders, then as required for tax, accounting and legal compliance (for example, GST records).

10. Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information. Email info@thearteffects.in and we will respond within a reasonable time, subject to any legal record-keeping requirements.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with the revised "Last updated" date.

12. Third-party contacts shared by trade partners

Where our trade partners (designers, architects, contractors) share contact details for third parties — typically on-site carpenters or installers — we use those contact details only to coordinate the specific order they were provided for. We do not:

• Add third-party contacts to marketing lists;
• Send promotional communications to third-party contacts;
• Share third-party contacts with anyone outside The Art Effects;
• Retain third-party contacts beyond the project lifecycle.

If a third party would like us to remove their contact details from our records, they can email info@thearteffects.in.
